Snooker: Cueists gear up for ranking tournament
Cueists vie for the honours at the third Jubilee General Insurance Ranking Snooker Championship.
KARACHI:
A ticket to the World Snooker Championship will be at stake when the country’s top cueists vie for the honours at the third Jubilee General Insurance Ranking Snooker Championship that gets underway at the Karachi Gymkhana from October 23. The week-long tournament will see 32 contestants showcasing their skills with a total of Rs150,000 at stake as prize money. Another incentive announced by the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association will be that the cueist, ranked number one after the tournament, will participate in the World Snooker Championship next month, which will be staged in Bangalore, India from November 27.
