CNS Open Golf to start tomorrow at KGC

KARACHI: Top golfers of the country will vie for the honours at the 15th Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Open Golf Championship that starts tomorrow at the Karachi Golf Club (KGC). Pakistan’s golfers Shabbir Iqbal, Matloob Ahmed and Shahid Javed besides defending champion Muhammad Munir will be seen in action in the championship. Ladies’ champion Tahira Nazir has also confirmed her participation.

Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Khawar Ali informed that the organisers received 360 entries for the seven events to be competed at the three-day championship. He added that the event carries Rs5.2 million as prize money from which Rs3 million will be given to the top 40 golfers. The event also offers a Toyota Altis car worth Rs1.885 million for a hole-in-one.
