
The Matiari police arrested Zubair, Bangu Rangar, from Ghulam Ali Mori village, in Bhitshah tehsil, on suspicion of being involved in targeted killings.
He was wanted by eight police stations of Karachi, including Malir and Preedy, for target killings and other crimes.
The Matiari police officer who made the arrest, SHO Jeevan Ram of Khandu police station, said that Rangar was arrested after a tip-off and was charged under Section 13D of the Pakistan Penal Code for possessing an unlicensed weapon.
“I have informed the Karachi police about the arrest,” he said, but did not elaborate if or when the suspect will be handed over to Karachi police.
Rangar went to Bhitshah to visit his parents but lives in Juma Khan village, Korangi.
