Disease Control: Anti-polio campaign starts Oct 24

BAHAWALPUR: An anti-polio campaign will start from October 24 and will continue in the district till October 27. According to executive district officer (EDO) Health Dr Arshad Bajwah, a total of 515,930 children of less than five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops in the district.  Bajwah said that 1,184 teams had been formed for the campaign of which 951 mobile teams will go door to door and administer anti-polio vaccines to the children, while 139 fixed teams will perform their duties at fixed locations. Over 94 teams will be deployed at transit points including bus stands, railway stations and airports in the district.
