Cricket: Malir Companions clinch two-day event

Chasing a massive total of 385 set by Malir Companions, no other batsman besides Rehman could chip in.

A valiant knock of 148 by Landhi Friends’ batsman Adnanul Rehman eventually contributed towards a lost cause as his club lost to Malir Companions by 98 runs in the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA) Two-Day Championship held in Karachi. Chasing a massive total of 385 set by Malir Companions, no other batsman besides Rehman could chip in with a notable contribution. From the Malir Companions bowlers, Yasir Mushtaq stood out, claiming four wickets. Malir Companions were indebted to Zeeshan Raheem (113) and Umar Khan (85) for taking them to their imposing total.
