Football: Afghan FC, KESC register close wins

Afghan FC stunned HBL 1-0 in the Pakistan Premier Football League.

KARACHI: Afghan FC stunned HBL 1-0 in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), while KESC beat hosts Police with an identical score in Quetta yesterday. After a dull first half, Afghan FC’s Abdul Haji scored the winner just two minutes before the final whistle. Meanwhile, KESC won their match against Police 1-0, courtesy of Akbar Ali’s goal in the 74th minute.
