Development in Balochistan: US delegation assures support

Development projects in health, education and agriculture have been launched by the government, says Dr Babar.

QUETTA: A delegation of the US council for political and economical affairs called on Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Balochistan, Dr Umer Babar here at Civil Secretariat on Thursday.

Anne Bennett led the US delegation while Balochistan Secretary Finance Dostain Jamaldini and Balochistan Additional Secretary Home Bashir Khan Bazai were also present on the occasion. “Various development projects in the health, education and agriculture sector have been launched by the government to bring reforms in the lives of the people of Balochistan,” Dr Babar said. He informed the US delegation that the uplift schemes in the mines and mineral and livestock sectors could help Balochistan generate income, putting the province on the road to progress.
