FAISALABAD:
An eleven-year-old child died after he was gang raped by five people on Tuesday.
According to police officials, accused cleric Qari Muhammad Bux, Amjad Farooq and two other accomplices allegedly abducted an eleven-year-old seminary student from his room in Nabba Shaheed and took him to a deserted place. The accused allegedly drugged the boy and raped him.
The victim died as a result of the assault and the accused sent the body to his parents after telling them he died of an unknown disease. Zulfiqar, the victim’s father said that most people in his village preferred to send their children to the seminary rather than school but regretted that there were such people abusing children at the seminaries. “An autopsy confirmed that my son was raped by several people and Qari Bukhsh and his accomplices are responsible for his death,” he said.
Buksh said denied the charges and said that the boy had complained of severe pain in his anus sphincter and he was given medicine from a local Hakeem.
