Naqvi lauds upgraded Federal Constabulary
New wings set to combat terrorism effectively

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday said practical steps had been taken to improve Federal Constabulary's (FC) professional capabilities and training facilities, including round-the-clock electricity at the academy, improved facilities, Arabic and English language courses, training by instructors from the elite Special Services Group (SSG) and instruction in the use of modern weapons.
Addressing the passing-out parade of the Special Protection Wing (SPW) and Anti-Riot Wing in Shabqadar, Charsadda, the interior minister described the newly trained personnel as soldiers of a new era and urged them to discharge their duties with discipline, patience, honesty and commitment to the rule of law.
He said the FC played a frontline role in combating terrorism, protecting government installations and maintaining law and order.
He noted that the FC, with a history spanning more than a century, had rendered valuable services to the country in challenging circumstances.
Naqvi said the passing-out personnel were joining the dedicated Anti-Riot Wing and Special Protection Wing for the first time, marking an important milestone for the force.
He expressed confidence that the newly trained personnel would perform their responsibilities professionally and effectively.
The interior minister congratulated the SPW personnel, Inspector General, Federal Constabulary and his team on organising the ceremony.
He felicitated the passing-out personnel and their families, saying the country was proud of its security forces.
He urged the young personnel to serve Pakistan with honesty, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
