Punjab tightens digital monitoring of 60,015 schools
.

Punjab's School Education Department has tightened digital monitoring of schools across the province, making monthly inspections by Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) mandatory and linking district performance rankings to visits recorded through a newly integrated monitoring application.
The move brings government schools, Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) institutions and Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA) schools, including outsourced institutions, under a common monitoring framework.
The Integrated Unified Monitoring App became operational for the expanded system on November 2. Under the revised instructions, every AEO must visit each school in their assigned Markaz at least once a month and complete a minimum of one school visit every working day.
The department has directed all chief executive officers of District Education Authorities (DEAs) to ensure strict compliance, warning that failure to implement the instructions could lead to accountability proceedings against the officers concerned.
