DC office clerk held for bribery

The Anti-Corruption Establishment arrested a junior clerk posted at the Jhang Deputy Commissioner's Office for allegedly receiving Rs10,000 in bribe.

The action followed a complaint by Sana Abbas, a resident of Sugar Mill Colony, who alleged that the clerk had demanded the money to process the sale and registration of her 18-marla property.

On the directives of Faisalabad Regional Anti-Corruption Director Khalid Masood Farooka, a team led by Circle Officer Akhtar Saeed, accompanied by Magistrate Shahroz Shaheen Ranjha, conducted a raid and caught the clerk receiving the bribe.
