Robert Kelker-Kelly, the actor known for portraying Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives, died from arteriosclerotic heart disease, according to a report detailing the soap opera star’s cause of death. He was 62.

Kelker-Kelly died on October 3, 2026. The Office of the Regional Medical Examiner in St. Charles, Missouri, identified the cause as arteriosclerotic heart disease, commonly known as coronary artery disease, according to a report by People. His death was classified as natural.

In the weeks before the cause of death was confirmed, authorities provided details about the circumstances surrounding the actor’s death. The St. Peters Police Department previously told Entertainment Weekly that Kelker-Kelly had reportedly complained of chest pain shortly before becoming unresponsive on October 3.

His wife, Allison Kelly, told authorities that the actor had experienced pain in his arm and chest and had vomited before she found him unresponsive.

Police officers and emergency medical services responded after receiving a report that Kelker-Kelly was unconscious and not breathing. According to Lieutenant Melissa Doss, life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful.

Doss also said investigators found nothing suspicious at the scene, adding that the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event.

The medical examiner’s findings provide further information about the circumstances of the actor’s death, which was initially reported earlier in October.

Kelker-Kelly was recognised by daytime television audiences for his work on Days of Our Lives, where he played Bo Brady. He also appeared on the soap opera Another World, earning recognition among fans of American daytime drama.

The actor’s death at 62 marks the loss of a familiar face from the long-running television genre. Further comment from the Office of the Regional Medical Examiner was not immediately available when Entertainment Weekly published its report.
