'The Other Bennet Sister' reveals first look at Mary's life after marriage
'The Other Bennet Sister' unveils new images of Mary and Tom's married life ahead of its three-part Christmas special

The Other Bennet Sister has released new first-look images from its upcoming Christmas special, offering a glimpse of Mary Bennet's life after marriage to Tom Hayward.
According to Variety, production has wrapped in Wales on the three-part special, which will continue the story of Mary, played by Ella Bruccoleri, following her wedding to Tom, portrayed by Dónal Finn. The special is produced by Bad Wolf for the BBC and BritBox.
Based on the world of Jane Austen's 1813 novel Pride and Prejudice, the series follows Mary, the often-overlooked Bennet sister, as she navigates life beyond her family's expectations. The upcoming episodes will explore her new identity as Mrs Hayward and the challenges that accompany married life.
The official synopsis teases an unexpected development when a visitor from Mary's past arrives at her door seeking help, raising questions about how the encounter will affect her new chapter.
Several cast members are returning for the Christmas special, including Ruth Jones as Mrs Bennet, Tanya Reynolds as Caroline Bingley, Laurie Davidson as Mr Ryder, Poppy Gilbert as Lizzie Darcy, Maddie Close as Jane Bingley, Grace Hogg-Robinson as Lydia Wickham and Molly Wright as Kitty Buncock. Nerys Amber Stocks joins the cast as Lucy, the Haywards' housekeeper.
Sarah Quintrell, who wrote nine of the first season's 10 episodes, has penned all three instalments of the special. Asim Abbasi is also returning to direct.
The original series premiered in March and attracted 6.5 million viewers across platforms in the UK during its first 28 days, according to figures cited by Variety. Its first episode has since reached 9.5 million viewers. The launch also reportedly set subscription records for BritBox.
A release date for The Other Bennet Sister Christmas special has not yet been announced. The programme will air in the UK on BBC iPlayer and BBC One, and in the US and Canada on BritBox.
