Pokémon Unite will shut down in March 2027 after five years
Pokémon Unite will close on March 23 2027, with final in-game event and library feature planned before shutdown

The free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game Pokémon Unite will shut down on March 23 2027, ending more than five years of service.
Developer announcements confirm that the game will host a final in-game event before its closure, allowing players to collect items and access selected content.
Pokémon Unite launched for Nintendo Switch in July 2021 before arriving on iOS and Android later that year. The game offered a more accessible approach to the MOBA genre, with simplified mechanics and battles lasting approximately 10 minutes.
The game's end-of-service notice thanked players for their support and confirmed that the previously announced Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo competitive tournament would proceed as planned.
In-game sales of Aeos gems and Unite Club memberships or renewals have been suspended. Existing Unite Club members can continue using their benefits until their current membership periods end.
A final special event will begin with an update on November 12 2026. Players will be able to obtain items, including all Unite licences and Holowear released in the game up to that point.
A new library feature will also allow players to view selected records and in-game content after the servers close.
Players must download the library feature before March 23 2027, as it will not be available to download after the shutdown.
Once service ends, players will no longer be able to log in or participate in battles, leaving the library as the game's only accessible feature.
Qualifiers for the Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo competitive tournament are scheduled to take place on December 5 2026.
The final event gives players several months to revisit the game before its servers close permanently in March 2027.
