RJ Mitte’s sister Lacianne Carriere has shared memories of actor and grief following his death at 34

RJ Mitte’s sister, Lacianne Carriere, has shared an emotional tribute to the Breaking Bad actor, describing the moment she learnt of his death and reflecting on their close relationship. Mitte died by suicide on October 12 at the age of 34, according to E! Online.
In an Instagram post published on October 23, Carriere shared previously unseen photographs and videos of her brother, recalling an ordinary detail that became a painful reminder of her loss.
“There are just no words. You were just here,” she wrote. “Your strawberry Fanta was still sitting on my coffee table when I got the call. Life hasn't felt real since then.”
Carriere said she had spent many evenings since receiving the news with Mitte’s closest friends, sharing stories and remembering his personality.
“Since the phone call I've been sitting around with your closest people almost every night sharing the craziest stories that could never be said anywhere else and god that was just you..,” she wrote. “You were the life of the party, coolest guy that we all tried to keep up with but never could.”
She also described how deeply her brother had influenced her interests and identity, from music and films to video games and collecting keepsakes.
“I just lost my other half. I lost my brother but I also lost my father…,” she wrote, adding that his influence had shaped “every single aspect” of her personality.
Although she admitted she did not know how she would recover from the loss, Carriere promised to keep his memory alive.
“I loved you completely,” she concluded. “And you loved me the same. That's all. The rest is confetti.”
