Kendall Jenner is reportedly concerned that Kylie Jenner’s debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show could affect her relationships with fellow models, following online criticism of her younger sister’s appearance in the event’s Fantasy Bra.

According to a source speaking to Star, Kendall, 30, supports Kylie publicly but has mixed feelings about how the situation has unfolded behind the scenes.

"Kendall loves Kylie and she's always going to have her back, especially when people are piling on her publicly," the source said. "But privately, she's very embarrassed by how this has all played out."

Kylie, 29, appeared on the catwalk on Sunday, October 19, wearing the event’s reported $50 million diamond Fantasy Bra. The piece has traditionally been associated with prominent models, including Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima.

The source told Star that Kendall had spent years establishing herself in the modelling industry and earning the respect of her peers.

The latest controversy has reportedly revived concerns that the sisters’ family connections influence their professional opportunities.

"Kendall worries this is going to reflect badly on her too, and that the other models will take it out on her," the source added.

According to the Daily Mail, Kris Jenner proposed the idea of Kylie appearing in the show after Kendall was unable to participate because of her campaign with lingerie brand Intimissimi.

The source also suggested that the decision could renew criticism Kendall has faced over her own career.

"Even though she … worked hard for years to get to the level she's at now, she still gets accused of using her family clout to get where she is, so the fact that Kylie has landed this opportunity based on her status rather than her actual modeling experience is bringing all those old criticisms right back to the surface."
