Samantha Markle has again defended her father, Thomas Markle Sr., amid a criminal investigation in the Philippines into allegations of possessing child sexual abuse material, while continuing to blame her brother, Thomas Markle Jr., for the controversy.

In a series of posts on X, Samantha, the half-sister of Meghan Markle, claimed that her father had been living in a rented property in the Philippines paid for by Thomas Jr. before undergoing a leg amputation.

Samantha argued that her father did not have a house where the alleged material could have been found. She also claimed that Philippine authorities had told her they searched her brother’s home rather than their father’s residence, although this account has not been independently confirmed.

“There will be no legal action against my dad with no evidence in so many flimsy stories,” Samantha wrote, adding that her father had been in hospital for much of his time in the country.

The allegations emerged after Thomas Markle Sr. came under criminal investigation by Philippine authorities over the alleged possession of child sexual abuse material. He has denied the accusations and suggested that Thomas Jr. could be responsible.

Thomas Jr., meanwhile, has maintained that he was obligated to report what he said he had discovered.

The dispute has drawn renewed attention to the strained relationships within the Markle family, particularly amid ongoing scrutiny surrounding Meghan Markle and her relatives.

Samantha’s latest comments come as the allegations continue to generate public discussion. However, the claims made by the siblings remain disputed, and the investigation’s outcome has not been established.

Thomas Markle Sr. has not been convicted of the alleged offence, and the accusations should not be treated as proven facts while the investigation remains ongoing.
