Connor Storrie and BLACKPINK singer Rosé caught fans’ attention after they were spotted dancing together to Taylor Swift’s Blank Space at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17.

Videos from the star-studded event showed the pair enjoying Swift’s performance, with Storrie and Rosé dancing together during the evening. Their interaction caught the attention of fans, bringing together two stars whose influence extends across television, music and fashion.

Storrie rose to wider prominence for playing Ilya Rozanov in Heated Rivalry, the television adaptation of Rachel Reid’s popular hockey romance novel. His portrayal of the Russian hockey player opposite Hudson Williams, who plays Shane Hollander, helped establish him as one of the breakout stars associated with the series. The show’s popularity has also brought increased attention to the actors’ public appearances and interactions.

Rosé, meanwhile, is best known as a member of BLACKPINK, one of the most successful K-pop groups in the world. The New Zealand-born, South Korean-raised singer has also developed a successful solo career. Her collaboration with Bruno Mars, APT., became a global hit, further raising her profile as a solo artist.

Storrie and Rosé also share a connection through luxury fashion house Saint Laurent, for which both serve as ambassadors. Their shared association with the brand offers a natural connection at high-profile fashion and entertainment events, including the Academy Museum Gala.

Swift performed four songs during the evening: Blank Space, Love Story, I Knew It, I Knew You and The Fate of Ophelia. The latter received its first live performance at the event, making it a notable moment for fans. I Knew It, I Knew You is Swift’s original song for Toy Story 5.

The sixth annual Academy Museum Gala took place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, bringing together prominent figures from film, television and music to support the museum’s exhibitions, educational initiatives and public programmes. This year’s honourees included filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, actor Colman Domingo and actress Charlize Theron.

The moment featuring Storrie and Rosé added another memorable celebrity interaction to an evening that brought together some of entertainment’s biggest names, with Swift’s performance providing the soundtrack.
