'Natha Khan link road to open soon'
The Natha Khan Link Road is expected to open to traffic soon, providing a direct connection between Shahrah-e-Faisal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Mayor Murtaza Wahab said during a visit to the under-construction road.
The link road is intended to improve traffic flow and reduce pressure on major roads in the surrounding areas. However, the mayor did not specify an opening date.
Wahab also inspected ongoing work on the Chakur Nala Expressway, which is expected to facilitate travel towards Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Johar Mor, Rashid Minhas Road and Airport Road.
Meanwhile, reconstruction work has begun on Chand Bibi Road near Civil Hospital after sewerage and drainage issues were addressed, according to the mayor.
Road reconstruction is also underway in Pehlwan Goth and the internal streets of PECHS Block 6 in Chinisar Town.
The projects are part of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation's ongoing road rehabilitation and traffic improvement programme.
