Renée Zellweger has been dismissed from a $10 million lawsuit involving her boyfriend, Ant Anstead, after a woman who alleged she was injured at his Laguna Beach rental home dropped the actress from the case.

According to court documents, Tracey Belland dismissed Zellweger as a defendant in the lawsuit. The dismissal was made with prejudice, meaning the claims against the Oscar-winning actress cannot be filed again.

The legal dispute stems from an alleged 2024 incident at a home Anstead was renting in Laguna Beach, California. Belland claimed she was injured after stepping on a thin rug that covered a hole in the property. She alleged that she stumbled and fell, resulting in a knee injury.

Zellweger was initially named alongside Anstead in the lawsuit, which sought $10 million in damages. However, sources previously cited in the case said the actress had no involvement with the rental property, was not listed on the lease and maintained a separate home nearby.

The dismissal means Zellweger is no longer a defendant in the legal battle, while the case against Anstead remains ongoing.

Anstead has previously denied allegations that he was legally responsible for Belland’s reported injuries.

Zellweger and Anstead have been in a relationship for several years and have occasionally been photographed together at public events. The actress, known for films including Bridget Jones’s Diary and Judy, has largely kept her personal life private.

The latest development removes Zellweger from the lawsuit but does not resolve the claims against Anstead. The legal proceedings involving the television personality and Belland are continuing.
