Trina Vega returns as 'Hollywood Arts' heads to Netflix

The Victorious universe is expanding with Hollywood Arts, a new Netflix spin-off centred on Trina Vega, with Daniella Monet returning to the role.

The series is set after Trina’s time as a student at Hollywood Arts High School. Following an acting career that has not gone as planned, Trina returns to the school as a substitute teacher. She is tasked with teaching a new class of aspiring performers while navigating her own connection to the school.

Monet will be joined by a new generation of students, played by Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze and Martin Kamm. Kira Kosarin, Sofie Dossi and Taylen Biggs are also part of the cast.

The Victorious spin-off will also feature familiar faces. Yvette Nicole Brown is returning as Principal Helen, while Rex, the ventriloquist dummy belonging to Robbie Shapiro, will also appear in the series.

Several members of the original Victorious creative team are returning behind the scenes. Jake Farrow, who worked on Victorious and iCarly, serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer alongside Samantha Martin. Monet is also an executive producer.

Jonathan Judge directs and executive produces the pilot, while Paramount Television Studios produces the series for Netflix.

Victorious originally ran for four seasons from 2010 to 2013 and starred Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Avan Jogia, Elizabeth Gillies, Leon Thomas III and Monet. Hollywood Arts is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 15.
