Kelly Clarkson appeared with a short, tousled bob while performing at a private Coca-Cola concert in Atlanta, prompting fans to discuss her new hairstyle online.

The singer performed for Coca-Cola employees and partners at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday, September 11.

She wore red trousers and a bedazzled Blondie T-shirt while sporting a wavy bob that was noticeably shorter than the long, straight hairstyle she often wears.

Fans shared mixed reactions to the look, with some praising Clarkson’s shorter hairstyle and others questioning whether she had actually cut her hair.

One fan account wrote, "I can't handle how good short-haired Kelly looks," while another asked, "New haircut? Is a new era coming soon? 👀"

Another fan connected the hairstyle with Clarkson’s 2009 album All I Ever Wanted, writing, "So I was happy, a super AIEW tour look, the hair too. It reminded me and gave me the feeling of when she was just Kelly Clarkson the singer and her commitment was only to the setlist and a good voice. That's what she delivered today. KC singer IS TOTALLY BACK!"

However, Clarkson has previously revealed that a similar bob was created without cutting her hair.

In 2025, she appeared in a promotional video for her return to The Voice with a similar hairstyle.

She later explained during a July concert that her hairstylist, Robert, had braided most of her hair to create the appearance of a bob.

"My hair guy, Robert, is so good," she told the crowd. "They braided all my hair except for the very tippy-top."

"I asked for a bob, because I really want to cut my hair," she continued, "but I'm, like, one of those moms that's like, 'I'm wearing Alo every day…I got my mom bun … I'm comfortable, okay?' I can't be having short hair, that's some hard s–t to keep up with, you know what I'm saying?"

"But he's so talented everybody thought that I had chopped my hair off," Clarkson said. "But I didn't."

Clarkson is set to return as a coach on The Voice Season 31, with premieres beginning September 21.
