Miley’s first US concerts in 11 years have sparked a huge rush, with fans flooding Ticketmaster ahead of sales

Miley Cyrus is seeing an extraordinary level of demand for her return to the stage, with reports claiming that more than 1.2 million people entered the presale queue for her upcoming Hollywood Bowl performances in Los Angeles.

The figure began circulating across social media on September 9, as fans attempted to secure tickets for Miley’s two October concerts. Posts from several music chart and fan accounts claimed that the queue had surpassed 1.2 million people, while comparisons quickly emerged showing how dramatically the reported demand outweighed the venue’s capacity.

The Hollywood Bowl is scheduled to host Miley on October 16 and October 18, marking her first US concerts in 11 years. Her official website confirms the two performances, while Ticketmaster lists both dates as part of the MILEY: BASS PERSUADES Live at the Hollywood Bowl events.

The 1.2 million figure should be treated as a reported queue number rather than an official attendance or ticket sales figure. Ticketmaster has not publicly confirmed that 1.2 million individual fans successfully entered the presale queue. The number nevertheless highlights the extraordinary attention surrounding Miley’s first major US performances in years.

The demand comes as Miley begins a new chapter centred on her forthcoming album Bass Persuades. The record is scheduled for release on September 18 and follows her 2025 album Something Beautiful. She recently unveiled the title track, "Bass Persuades", along with a music video directed by Mert Alas. It was reported that the new era sees Miley using a shorter professional name while turning towards a dance focused sound influenced by 1980s synth music.

The Hollywood Bowl shows are particularly significant because Miley has described the Los Angeles venue as a special place for her. In announcing the performances, she said she had spent years sitting in the audience watching artists perform there but had never previously taken the stage herself.

Ticket sales have been divided into several stages. The American Express presale began on September 8, followed by Miley’s artist presale on September 9. Spotify also introduced a Reserved option for eligible Premium subscribers, while the general public sale is scheduled for September 10 at 10am Pacific Time.

The ticket rush has already produced plenty of online frustration, with fans sharing screenshots of lengthy queues and discussing their attempts to obtain seats. One fan on a Miley focused Reddit community reported being thousands of places back in the Amex queue shortly after the presale began, reflecting the intense competition surrounding the limited supply.

The scale of the reported queue has also fuelled calls for Miley to announce a wider tour. Her official ticket listings currently show the two Hollywood Bowl dates in the United States, making these performances especially valuable to fans who have been waiting years to see her perform live at home.
