Natalie Portman has welcomed her third child, marking her first baby with her partner, French musician Tanguy Destable.
The Oscar-winning actress, 45, gave birth in Paris last month, PEOPLE reports. The new arrival joins Portman’s two older children, 15-year-old son Aleph and 9-year-old daughter Amalia, whom she shares with her former husband, filmmaker and choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
Portman confirmed her relationship with Destable, who performs under the name Tepr, in March 2025. The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in April 2026, with Portman describing the pregnancy as a deeply meaningful experience.
“I’m just very grateful,” Portman said at the time, calling the pregnancy a “privilege” and “miracle”.
During her pregnancy, Portman said she had been approaching the experience with greater mindfulness and appreciation. She spent time with her children, continued light exercise and enjoyed the spring season in Paris.
She also joked about France’s approach to full-term pregnancy, noting that pregnancies are considered to last 41 weeks in the country, meaning she had an extra week to wait before meeting her baby.
Portman and Destable have largely kept their relationship private since going public in 2025. Destable is a French music producer and musician who has worked under the stage name Tepr.
Portman was previously married to Millepied, whom she met while working on the 2010 film Black Swan. The former couple married in 2012 and welcomed Aleph in 2011 and Amalia in 2017. Their divorce was finalised in 2024.
The arrival of Portman’s third child comes as she continues to balance her family life with a busy acting career. She has recently completed several projects and has been spending more time with her family in Paris.
For Portman, the birth marks a new chapter as she welcomes her first child with Destable while continuing to raise her two older children.
The couple have not publicly shared further details about their newborn, including the baby’s name.
