Ed Sheeran brings Camila Cabello onstage for a surprise ‘Bam Bam’ reunion at MetLife Stadium
Camila Cabello joined Sheeran for a surprise moment as the singer continued his New Jersey stadium run

Ed Sheeran gave fans at MetLife Stadium a major surprise when Camila Cabello joined him onstage for their hit collaboration “Bam Bam”. The unexpected appearance brought the pair back together to perform the song they originally released in 2022, giving concertgoers a live reunion during Sheeran’s LOOP Tour stop in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Sheeran is performing at MetLife Stadium across September 4 and September 5 as part of his current stadium tour. The venue officially lists the shows as part of THE LOOP TOUR, with Macklemore, Lukas Graham and BIIRD among the scheduled support acts. Sheeran’s official website also confirms both MetLife Stadium dates on his 2026 touring schedule.
Cabello’s appearance added a particularly nostalgic moment to the show because “Bam Bam” remains one of the best known collaborations between the two singers. The track was released by Cabello in March 2022 as a single from her third studio album, Familia, and features Sheeran on vocals. The song was written by Cabello, Sheeran and several collaborators, while Ricky Reed, Edgar Barrera and Cheche Alara handled production.
The collaboration became a significant commercial success for Cabello. “Bam Bam” reached No. 7 on the UK Official Singles Chart and spent 24 weeks on the chart, including eight weeks inside the Top 10.
The song also marked another successful musical connection between Cabello and Sheeran after they had worked together on its recording. Their first joint live performance of “Bam Bam” came in March 2022 at the Concert for Ukraine benefit concert in Birmingham, shortly after the single was released.
For Sheeran, the MetLife Stadium appearance comes during a packed North American stretch of THE LOOP TOUR. His official tour schedule includes stadium dates across the United States and Canada, with the New Jersey shows followed by performances in Philadelphia, Foxborough, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Charlotte, Arlington, Hollywood and Tampa.
The timing also gives “Bam Bam” another moment in the spotlight years after its original release. The song remains readily recognisable to audiences because of its bilingual lyrics, upbeat production and storyline about moving forward after a relationship ends. Official Charts previously described the track as a breakup song delivered with an energetic musical approach, helping explain its lasting appeal.
Cabello’s appearance therefore gave Sheeran’s MetLife Stadium audience a chance to hear the collaboration performed live by both artists once again. With Sheeran continuing his two night New Jersey engagement, the surprise performance adds another memorable moment to the current run of THE LOOP TOUR.
