Elliot Page reveals he has no new roles lined up after standout performance in 'The Odyssey'

Elliot Page has revealed that he does not currently have another acting role lined up following his acclaimed performance as Sinon in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

During his recent appearance on the On Film... With Kevin McCarthy podcast, Page was asked whether the success of the blockbuster had resulted in a wave of new opportunities. Host Kevin McCarthy suggested that the actor must be receiving “a zillion calls” after the film.

“No, Kevin, I’m not,” Page replied, before jokingly adding, “So, if someone wants to call me…”

McCarthy then asked whether Page really did not have another job lined up. “Not really,” the actor said.

Page made it clear that he wants to continue working, adding, “I’d really love to do, ideally, good work. That’s what I’d love to do.”

The actor also reflected on how his career and the way he is perceived in Hollywood have changed. “I was seen in a certain way before, and it is different now,” Page said, suggesting that being more proactive about reaching out to filmmakers and creating connections could be part of finding his next project.

“But it’s a little tricky for me to get cast right now,” he continued. “I think that’s for pretty obvious reasons.”

Page also spoke about feeling more comfortable in himself than he did earlier in his career and how that has affected his work. Looking back at his previous collaboration with Nolan on Inception, he recalled feeling uncomfortable at the time, contrasting that experience with his work on The Odyssey.

For Page, returning to a Nolan production 16 years after Inception became something of a full-circle experience. His performance as Sinon, an Ithacan soldier, has been one of the most discussed parts of the film, particularly his scenes with Matt Damon’s Odysseus.

Despite the success of The Odyssey, Page's comments reveal that the film has not immediately translated into a string of new acting offers. The actor, however, remains eager to find his next project and believes he is now in a position to deliver some of the best work of his career.

“I certainly have been so lucky in my career and gotten to play some really fantastic parts,” Page said, while expressing gratitude to Nolan for giving him the opportunity to be part of The Odyssey.
