The investigation team probing the case of young businessman Mir Raza Ali has taken into custody the mobile phone of Dr Usama, the medico-legal officer (MLO) who conducted the first post-mortem examination, for forensic analysis.
The investigators also summoned Police Surgeon Dr Samia Syed and sought information regarding Mir Raza's post-mortem reports.
She reportedly provided the investigation team with a detailed explanation of the medical terminology used in the reports and answered their questions.
Sources said the investigators had been facing difficulties in interpreting certain medical terms used in the reports.
Meanwhile, DIG Crime and Investigation Aamir Farooqui, who heads the second investigation team formed to probe the case, said investigators were considering releasing CCTV footage that allegedly shows Mir Raza during his final moments.
