A foul smell led to the discovery of two bodies found inside a car parked in a garage at Sea View Apartments near Nishan-e-Pakistan in Karachi’s Clifton, with police suspecting that the two men may have died of suffocation.
The victims appeared to have been dead for one to two days, according to the police. The bodies were discovered after residents noticed a foul smell coming from the garage and alerted police.
Darakhshan Police Station SHO Rashid Ali said one of the deceased was identified as 34-year-old Asadullah, a resident of Sherin Jinnah Colony in Keamari’s Gulshan Sikandarabad. He was employed as a driver by an elderly resident of the apartments. The second victim, believed to be between 20 and 22 years old, could not immediately be identified.
Police said Asadullah’s body was found in the driver’s seat, while the other man was found in the rear seat. Both were reportedly found in a semi-naked state.

After reaching the scene, police called the crime scene unit to collect evidence. The vehicle was subsequently removed from the garage and the bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal formalities and post-mortem examinations.
According to Ali, the initial investigation suggested suffocation as the likely cause of death. However, he said the final cause of death would be determined only after the post-mortem examination.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths and have collected evidence from the vehicle and the scene.
A similar incident was also reported last year in the same apartment when the bodies of a man and a woman were found in a parked car.
Police said the two bodies were recovered from a white Prado parked in the parking area of Block 28 in Sea View Apartments.
It added that the man had been identified as Shehbaz Malik, a retired army official.
