Cardi B has described becoming the face of Old Navy’s fall 2026 denim campaign as a “full-circle” moment after recalling that she shoplifted from the retailer while growing up.
Speaking during an Instagram Live on Wednesday, the Grammy-winning rapper thanked Old Navy for its support and discussed her history with the brand.
Cardi also praised Old Navy’s denim for fitting her body shape, saying jeans from many other brands can be difficult to wear.
“BBL bi****s, it is so hard for us to find jeans. Chanel and the stuff like that, we can’t wear those types of jeans. The only big brand that kind of fit our bodies are Acme Studios,” Cardi explained. “This is the type of body I have, I’m 5’3″ and I’m skinny, I got no waist, but my ass and hips is the size of Uganda. They don’t make jeans for a bi**h like me.”
Cardi stars alongside Wisdom Kaye and Quen Blackwell in Old Navy’s Western-themed “The Most Wanted” campaign, released on August 4.
Meanwhile, Cardi’s 2026 single “Ah Ha” debuted at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her “WAP” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion was also certified diamond by the RIAA earlier this month.
