Frankie Grande supports Ariana Grande after she announces break from public life

Frankie Grande has praised his sister Ariana Grande following her announcement that she plans to step back from public-facing work after completing the North American leg of her Eternal Sunshine tour.

The Titanique star shared a message on Instagram on Friday, following the final North American show of Ariana's tour in Chicago on Thursday.

"Family forever," Frankie wrote. "I will have your back until the end of time. I am so proud of you and so happy for you."

He continued by celebrating the singer's performance and the community surrounding the tour.

"Last night was a beautiful celebration of your artistry and the magnificent eternal sunshine family you have built and created. It was a magical night. You are magical."

Frankie concluded his tribute with references to Ariana's songs, writing, "You are my everything and I am so so happy I was there to see you shine on this tour one last time."

The singer addressed the decision during a Chicago concert, saying that boundaries were necessary and that people sometimes need a break.

"My fans were worried that negativity was ruining things for me. But, I just have to say, that could not be more the f--- opposite," Ariana said. "Yes, boundaries, they need to be set. Human beings can need a break sometimes."

She added, "This can be and will continue to be the greatest experience of my professional and creative life."

The planned hiatus has also affected Ariana's acting commitments. She will no longer appear in the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park With George, which was scheduled to open at London's Barbican Centre next summer.

Ariana is still scheduled to appear in Focker In-Law alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. The film is due to be released in cinemas on November 25.
