The update comes after the company outlined its first-party Nintendo Switch 2 software line-up for 2026, where the highly anticipated remake was listed under the "late 2026" release window.

In a separate statement included in the financial report, Nintendo also confirmed that "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also scheduled to be released this year," signalling that the project has not been delayed.

While the update does not include a specific launch date, it reassures fans that the remake remains on track despite Nintendo keeping details about the game largely under wraps.

Speculation about the game's release window has continued in recent weeks.
