Kundi visits Swat terror attack victims

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi visited Swat on Wednesday to inquire after those injured in suicide bombing at Saidu Sharif Hospital. He met the wounded, prayed for their speedy recovery, and expressed heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the affected families.

Governor was accompanied by Malakand Division Commissioner Masood Ahmad, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand Syed Fida Hassan Shah, and senior officials of the district administration, police, and other relevant departments. During his visit to the hospital, Governor Kundi reviewed the medical facilities being provided to the injured and directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible treatment for all victims.

He said the suffering of those injured in the cowardly act of terrorism was shared by the entire province and the nation. He reaffirmed that the government stood firmly with the affected families and said the sacrifices of the martyrs and the injured in the fight against terrorism would always be remembered.

Later, the Governor visited the office of the Regional Police Officer Malakand, where he received a detailed briefing on the overall law and order situation in the Malakand Division, ongoing counterterrorism operations, the professional preparedness of the police, prevailing security challenges, and the region's counterterrorism strategy. He also offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and patience for their bereaved families.
