Ariana Grande expands mental health support with initiative for Eternal Sunshine tour crew

Ariana Grande is extending her commitment to mental health advocacy by providing free mental health support to every member of her Eternal Sunshine tour crew through her Brighter Days Ahead Foundation. The initiative offers access to therapy and wellbeing resources for the hundreds of people working behind the scenes on her latest world tour.

According to Billboard, every touring crew member has received a care package containing mental health resources, along with complimentary access to professional therapy services throughout the tour. The programme is designed to support the often-overlooked mental wellbeing of those who keep large-scale concert productions running, from stagehands and technicians to drivers and production staff.

The initiative is being delivered through Grande's Brighter Days Ahead Foundation, which she launched earlier this year to support mental health services, LGBTQ+ communities and other charitable causes. The singer said she hopes the foundation will continue expanding its work both within and beyond the music industry.

Grande has long spoken openly about her own experiences with anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder following the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, and has been a vocal advocate for reducing the stigma surrounding mental health treatment. Her latest effort builds on a growing movement within the live music industry to provide mental health care for touring professionals, who often face long hours, extensive travel and demanding schedules.

The Eternal Sunshine Tour marks Grande's first concert tour since 2019 and comes as she prepares to release her eighth studio album, Petal. With the new initiative, the Grammy-winning singer is placing as much emphasis on the wellbeing of her crew as on the performances taking place on stage.
