Aubrey Plaza shares candid baby bump selfie as she embraces first pregnancy

Aubrey Plaza has given fans an intimate glimpse into her pregnancy journey, sharing a candid mirror selfie revealing her bare baby bump as she prepares to welcome her first child with actor Christopher Abbott.

The Parks and Recreation star posted the photo to her Instagram Stories, lifting a black tank top to show her growing bump while pulling a comically horrified expression at her reflection. The light-hearted snap was accompanied by additional images showing Abbott and Bambi Baby CEO Enelio Ortega helping assemble the couple's new baby stroller.

In one of the photos, Ortega demonstrates how to convert the stroller into a portable baby carrier while Abbott records the instructions on his phone. Plaza later posed alongside Ortega and the finished stroller, writing, "Muchos gracias Enelio for teaching us something."

Plaza and Abbott first sparked romance rumours after working together on the 2020 psychological drama Black Bear before reuniting in the Off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. News of their relationship and pregnancy became public in April, with Plaza later confirming on the SmartLess podcast that she was excited to experience parenthood for the first time.

The actress made her first public appearance with her baby bump at the 79th Tony Awards in June, where she attended alongside Abbott as he celebrated his Best Featured Actor in a Play nomination for Death of a Salesman. Her pregnancy comes more than a year after the death of filmmaker Jeff Baena, from whom she had been separated at the time of his death.
