NADRA official goes missing

KARACHI:

A NADRA officer and son of senior journalist Sohail Sangi has gone missing under mysterious circumstances, prompting concern among media bodies and rights organisations.

Fayyaz Ahmed Janjhi, who serves at NADRA's Ayesha Manzil office, was last seen on Sunday evening when he left work at around 6pm in his white Suzuki Alto. According to his brother, Riaz Sohail, his mobile phone became unreachable shortly after he departed, and his whereabouts remain unknown since.

The family has reported the incident to police, while senior officials, including the Sindh police chief, have been informed. The SSP District Central has initiated an inquiry into the disappearance.
