Sadie Sink has addressed months of intense speculation surrounding her role in Spider Man: Brand New Day, but fans searching for a definitive answer will have to keep waiting. The actor has finally responded to some of the internet's biggest theories, confirming what her character is not while carefully protecting Marvel's biggest remaining mystery.

Since Sony Pictures released the first trailer for Spider Man: Brand New Day, online discussion has been dominated by theories about Sink's character. Fans have linked her to several well known Marvel characters, with one of the most persistent rumours suggesting she could portray a new version of Aunt May following Marisa Tomei's departure from the franchise.

Sink has now directly dismissed that theory.

In a promotional video shared ahead of the film's release, the Stranger Things star jokingly acknowledged the flood of fan speculation before offering what she described as three confirmed facts about her character.

"I can confirm I am not Spider Man," Sink said with a smile.

She then tackled another popular theory, adding, "I am not Aunt May."

Her final confirmation was the only one that revealed something viewers already knew.

"And third, I can definitely confirm that I am in this movie. As for who I really am, you'll have to find out in the theatre."

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have maintained strict secrecy around several characters in Spider Man: Brand New Day, following a tradition established by previous entries in the franchise. Similar marketing strategies have often encouraged fan theories while avoiding major spoilers until release.

Sink recently reflected on joining one of Hollywood's biggest film franchises, praising co star Tom Holland for making the experience easier.

Speaking about working alongside Holland, Sink said stepping into an established cast could have been intimidating, but she found the actor welcoming from the beginning. She described him as relaxed, open and someone who helped her feel comfortable throughout production.

Spider Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker after the events of Spider Man: No Way Home, where the world no longer remembers his true identity. According to the official synopsis, Peter is balancing life as Spider Man while watching those closest to him move forward without memories of their past together. The story introduces a mysterious new threat that challenges everything he has become.

Alongside Holland and Sink, the cast includes Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo and Liza Colón Zayas. Although Marvel has released trailers and promotional material, several major plot details remain undisclosed, including Sink's identity.
