A new song has appeared on D4vd’s Spotify page while the singer remains in custody awaiting a preliminary hearing on murder and other criminal charges.

The track, titled "Marcescence", is listed on the streaming platform with a runtime of approximately two minutes and 40 seconds. Although the song remains visible on D4vd’s Spotify profile, it is currently unavailable to play.

The artwork accompanying the release appears to show the singer, whose real name is David Burke, taking a bathroom mirror selfie.

It remains unclear why the track was uploaded or who was responsible for its appearance on the platform.

A YouTube video matching the same runtime as the Spotify listing has also surfaced online. The video shows Burke posing in front of a mirror before cutting to footage of a roadway, with the camera focusing on lights and repeatedly returning to the mirror sequence.

Some listeners believe the audio matches an unreleased song known as I Think She Knows, citing similarities between the video's lyrics and previously circulated versions of the track. However, no official confirmation has been provided.

Burke was charged in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez after police allegedly found her body in the boot of his Tesla on April 20.

Authorities also alleged the pair had been in a lengthy relationship and stated Hernandez was 14 years old at the time of her death.

The singer has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, including murder, mutilation of a body, and lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14.

Burke is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on July 21, while the appearance of "Marcescence" on his Spotify profile has prompted speculation among listeners.
