Disney fans share casting picks as live-action 'Princess and the Frog' takes shape
Fans are already suggesting actors for Tiana, Naveen and Dr. Facilier following reports of live-action project

Disney fans have begun sharing their dream casting choices for a reported live-action project based on The Princess and the Frog following news that an original feature centred on Princess Tiana is in development.
According to reports, Colman Domingo is in talks to write an original live-action feature for Walt Disney Studios alongside Tony-nominated playwright and director Robert O'Hara.
The project is reportedly being developed as a spin-off rather than a remake of the 2009 animated film.
Following the news, fans took to social media to suggest who they would like to see portray Tiana and the film's other key characters.
One of the most popular suggestions for Tiana has been actress and singer Coco Jones, who began her career on Disney Channel before starring in Bel-Air and pursuing music.
Another frequently mentioned name is Jayme Lawson, known for roles in Sinners, The Batman, The Woman King and The Running Man. Other fan suggestions include Normani, Keke Palmer and Tessa Thompson.
For Prince Naveen, many fans have backed Jaafar Jackson following his portrayal of Michael Jackson in Michael. Supporters believe his acting and singing experience could suit the role if the project includes musical elements.
Fans have also speculated about the potential return of Dr. Facilier, the villain from the original film. Some suggested that Domingo could not only write the project but also portray the Shadow Man if the character appears in the story.
The reported film follows the cancellation of Disney+'s planned Tiana animated series, which remained in development for several years before it was shelved.
