Sadie Sink has praised Tom Holland for making her feel welcome after joining the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in an undisclosed role.

Speaking in an interview with Nylon, the Stranger Things star reflected on stepping into the established Spider-Man franchise and working alongside Holland, who returns as Peter Parker.

"It was interesting stepping into that space and being a little bit of an outsider in that way, but he could not have been more welcoming, and just the whole crew in general," Sink said. "He was just so relaxed and open, and I felt very at ease."

Sink's role in the upcoming Marvel film has not yet been revealed, with speculation continuing among fans about the character she will portray. She acknowledged the attention surrounding the casting, saying it has been a new experience for her.

"I knew that Marvel was a big deal and had a big brand, especially Spider-Man," she said. "I know there's a huge fan base, but it feels really big. I think these blockbuster movies are a whole different beast."

According to the film's official logline, Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker as he continues fighting crime in a world that no longer remembers him.

As he struggles with seeing his former friends move on, Peter undergoes a change that may be the only way to stop a new villain threatening the city and the people he cares about.

The logline states, "It's a brand new day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn't forgotten them."

Spider-Man: Brand New Day also stars Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Liza Colón-Zayas and Mark Ruffalo.
