Barbra Streisand is marking a major relationship milestone, celebrating 28 years of marriage to her husband, James Brolin, with a touching message reflecting on their decades together.
The EGOT-winning singer and actress shared a photo of the couple on Instagram on July 1, 2026, writing, "28 years today since we married honey... where has the time gone? Love you. B ❤️." The anniversary also marks 30 years since the pair first met on a blind date arranged by mutual friends.
Streisand, 84, and Brolin, 85, first met on July 1, 1996, and married exactly two years later at the singer's Malibu home on July 1, 1998. Their star-studded wedding was attended by guests including Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, John Travolta and Marlon Brando.
The couple have often spoken about the unlikely way their romance began. Streisand previously recalled teasing Brolin about his haircut the first time they met, jokingly asking, "Who f----- up your hair?" The actor has since said he knew almost immediately that she was the woman he wanted to marry.
Although they do not have children together, Streisand and Brolin have built a blended family. Streisand is mother to actor Jason Gould, while Brolin has three children from previous marriages, including actor Josh Brolin. Together, they are grandparents to five grandchildren.
In a recent interview with People, Streisand described spending time with her grandchildren as "very, very special", saying the family moments have become some of the greatest joys in her life.
Celebrity friends and fans flooded the comments of Streisand's anniversary post with congratulatory messages, celebrating one of Hollywood's longest-lasting marriages. After nearly three decades together, the couple continue to share glimpses of their enduring relationship, proving that their romance remains as strong as ever.
