Keith Urban sends sweet public message to ex-wife Nicole Kidman on her 59th birthday

Keith Urban has publicly reached out to ex-wife Nicole Kidman for the first time since their divorce, sharing a heartfelt message to mark the actress's 59th birthday.

The country singer posted a simple but affectionate tribute on his Instagram Stories on June 20, 2026, writing, “Happy birthday Nicole Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!” against a purple and blue background. The message marked Urban's first public acknowledgement of Kidman since the pair ended their 19-year marriage earlier this year.

The gesture comes nearly six months after the former couple finalised their divorce in January following their separation announcement in September 2025. Despite the split, both have emphasised the importance of maintaining a strong family unit for daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

Kidman did not publicly respond to Urban's message, but she celebrated her birthday by sharing a serene photo and reflecting on “another trip around the sun”. Their eldest daughter, Sunday Rose, also posted a touching tribute to her mother, writing, “Happy birthday Mumma. No one I adore more.”
