Dan Brown’s ‘The Secret of Secrets’ brings in new stars for Netflix adaptation

Netflix’s Dan Brown TV adaptation ‘The Secret of Secrets’ adds Cherry Jones, Corey Stoll and Abbey Lee to cast

Netflix’s upcoming television adaptation of Dan Brown’s bestselling novel The Secret of Secrets has added four new cast members, expanding its ensemble ahead of production.

Actors Cherry Jones, Corey Stoll, Rob Delaney and Abbey Lee have joined the series, which already features Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall in leading roles.

The untitled Netflix series is based on Brown’s 2025 novel The Secret of Secrets and will combine futuristic science with elements of mystery, mythology and mystical lore. The story follows renowned symbologist Robert Langdon as he races against time to find a missing scientist and recover a revolutionary manuscript that could transform humanity’s understanding of the human mind.

Spector will portray Robert Langdon, while Hall will play Katherine Solomon, a scientist and Langdon’s romantic partner in the novel.

The newly announced cast members will take on key supporting roles. Cherry Jones, known for Succession and The Handmaid’s Tale, will play Heide Nagel, a U.S. ambassador in Prague connected to a secret project led by Everett Finch. Corey Stoll, who appeared in Billions and Imperfect Women, will portray Finch, a former CIA agent.

Rob Delaney will star as Jonas Faukman, an editor who becomes involved in a dangerous situation, while Abbey Lee will play Sasha Vesna, a research assistant working alongside scientist Dr. Gessner.

Dan Brown’s novels have sold more than 250 million copies worldwide across 56 languages. His famous character Robert Langdon has appeared in five previous books, including Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno and Origin.

Carlton Cuse and Dan Brown serve as co-creators and executive producers of the Netflix adaptation, with Cuse also acting as writer and showrunner. Emma Forman, Zoe Robyn and Cuse’s Genre-Arts banner will also executive produce the series.
