Netflix’s hit mystery drama A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is set to conclude with its third season, bringing Pip Fitz-Amobi’s story to a definitive end.

According to Variety, the streamer has confirmed that the upcoming third instalment will serve as the final chapter of the series. The decision follows the show’s continued success across its first two seasons, which have charted Pip’s evolution from schoolgirl investigator to a figure drawn deeper into increasingly dangerous cases.

The series, led by Emma Myers as amateur sleuth Pip Fitz-Amobi, is adapted from Holly Jackson’s bestselling YA trilogy. Each season has drawn from one of the books in the series, with the third season expected to adapt As Good As Dead, the darkest entry in the source material.

Season 2, which recently premiered, saw Pip dealing with the fallout from her previous investigations while becoming entangled in a new missing-person case involving Jamie Reynolds. The season ended on a more emotionally complex and unsettling note, leaving the character’s future direction open while clearly setting up the final arc.

The decision to end the show with Season 3 mirrors the structure of the original novels, allowing the adaptation to remain closely aligned with the source material rather than extending the story beyond its intended narrative arc. Fans have noted that this approach gives the series a more contained and faithful conclusion compared to many long-running YA adaptations.

While Netflix has not yet announced a release date for the final season, production is expected to continue building on the darker tone established in Season 2. The final chapter is likely to follow Pip as she confronts a new wave of psychological threats, including an anonymous stalker who becomes central to the story’s conclusion.

Cast members including Emma Myers and Zain Iqbal are expected to return, with the final season aiming to bring closure to Pip’s relationships, investigations and the long-running consequences of her true-crime success.

With Season 3 confirmed as the show’s conclusion, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is set to end as a tightly structured trilogy adaptation, closing out one of Netflix’s most popular young adult mystery series on its own terms.
