The 2026 Tony Awards will bring Broadway's biggest night back to Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, assembling an unusually star-heavy mix of performers, presenters and anniversary tributes across stage and screen, with host P!NK leading proceedings.

Grammy-winning artist P!NK returns as host, steering a ceremony that blends competition with spectacle, while also anchoring several high-profile musical tributes expected to dominate the evening's live broadcast from New York City.

Olivier Award winner Rachel Zegler will deliver a special tribute to A Chorus Line's 50th anniversary, marking one of the night's landmark moments. Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr will lead the In Memoriam segment, performing 'Without You' from Rent to honour artists lost this year.

As previously announced, Chicago will mark its 30th Broadway anniversary with a special performance featuring Queen Latifah, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alex Newell, Adrienne Warren, Julianne Hough, Whitney Leavitt, Dylan Mulvaney and host P!NK.

Original cast of 'Book of Mormon' will reunite for its 15th anniversary performance, with Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, Rory O'Malley and Nikki M. James, introduced by creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez.

Opening number features more than 170 Broadway performers, choreographed by Sarah O'Gleby and written by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and Mark Sonnenblick, aiming to set a celebratory tone for the ceremony's opening broadcast segment.

Presenters include Adrien Brody, Annette Bening, Ariana DeBose, Ben Platt, Bernadette Peters, Billy Crystal, Bowen Yang, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Maya Rudolph, Paul Rudd, Sarah Paulson and Sting, according to the organisers.

Among music presenters are Megan Thee Stallion and Nicole Scherzinger, alongside other stage and screen figures contributing to the ceremony's broad entertainment mix across awards presentations and musical interludes.

Playbill will stream the red carpet live from Radio City Music Hall, offering early arrivals, nominee interviews and fashion coverage ahead of the ceremony, beginning well before the official pre-show broadcast window opens.

The main ceremony airs live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall, with streaming available on Paramount+ for premium subscribers, ensuring simultaneous coast-to-coast broadcast coverage and on-demand access after transmission.

This year's ceremony also marks a rare historical crossover, as songs from A Chorus Line and Chicago will be performed together on the Tonys for the first time since the 1976 broadcast, when both shows competed.

Performances will include all Best Musical nominees The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titanique and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), alongside revivals such as Ragtime and The Rocky Horror Show, plus anniversary sets.

The Tonys have a long tradition of original musical numbers written for the broadcast, with several even winning Emmy Awards in past years, underscoring the ceremony's role in shaping crossover entertainment moments for television audiences.

Red carpet coverage will begin well ahead of the ceremony, with Playbill's livestream starting, capturing arrivals, interviews and fashion moments as Broadway's biggest names gather at Radio City Music Hall.

With star power spanning Hollywood, Broadway and music, the 2026 Tony Awards are shaping up as a high-profile celebration of theatrical achievement, anniversaries and live performance spectacle, promising a globally watched night of entertainment.
