PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has inaugurated an Anti-Corruption Desk at the Chief Minister's Complaint Cell to facilitate the registration of corruption complaints and reports.

Citizens can now directly lodge complaints regarding corruption with the Chief Minister. A dedicated telephone number, 091-9222451, has been issued for this purpose, allowing people to contact the cell easily.

Special complaint desks have also been established for individuals residing in Zamong Kor and shelter homes to provide them with an effective platform for registering and resolving their grievances.

The Chief Minister visited the Complaint Cell located at the Chief Minister's Secretariat, where he personally interacted with citizens, listened to their complaints, and received feedback on grievance redressal.

On the occasion, CM Afridi said, "I had promised the people that every complaint would be addressed. Today, we are presenting practical proof of that promise before the public."

He added that every citizen who reports administrative or financial irregularities will find the Chief Minister standing firmly by their side. "The public should file complaints, and the government will ensure their resolution," he assured.

The Chief Minister further stated that the CM Complaint Cell, established in line with the vision of founding Chairman Imran Khan, is being made more effective. Complaints can now also be registered through WhatsApp, email, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), while every mobile phone user will be able to lodge complaints directly.

Afridi made it clear that he would personally monitor public complaints and ensure their timely resolution. "We will neither allow the public's trust to diminish nor permit any injustice," he said. "Every complaint will be treated as a personal matter and resolved accordingly."

He urged the people not to lose hope, emphasising that the government stands with them. "Our sole interest and priority is the welfare and well-being of the people," Afridi added.

"Only those policies will be implemented in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa that serve the public interest, and provincial welfare along with public trust will be given precedence in every decision," he concluded.

Later, the Chief Minister directed the staff of the Complaint Cell to adopt a courteous attitude towards complainants and ensure the prompt resolution of their grievances.

Rahim Khan | 2 weeks ago | Reply Official Memorandum Grievance Letter To The Honorable Chief Minister Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar. Subject Urgent Intervention Required Prevention of Encroachment on Government Dispensary Land and Reallocation for a Girls Primary School in Village Council Wartair Tehsil Dargai. Respected Sir I am writing to draw your urgent attention to a matter of significant public interest and state property conservation concerning Village Council Wartair Tehsil Dargai District Malakand. Background of the Issue In 1965 the local elders Malaks of Wartair formally provided a piece of land to the then Political Agent Administration for the establishment of a public dispensary. This dispensary served the community for decades until around 1988 when its operations were absorbed by the newly constructed Basic Health Unit BHU at the Union Council level. Since then the land and the structure have remained public property. The Current Crisis Recently the descendants of the original landowners the Malaks have attempted to illegally reclaim and sell this state property for personal financial gain falsely claiming that it is no longer government land. This unlawful commercialization has already sparked a violent clash between the Malaks and another party threatening local peace and security. Unfortunately despite the brewing conflict the district administration has so far turned a deaf ear to the community s grievances. The Public Need Simultaneously the children of Village Council Wartair are facing a severe educational crisis. The locality completely lacks a dedicated government primary school building for girls. Currently young girls are forced to walk over a kilometer daily to attend classes in a temporary ill-equipped community school building. Requested Action The disputed dispensary land represents an ideal opportunity to resolve two critical issues at once protecting state land from illegal encroachment and fulfilling a dire educational need. Therefore it is respectfully requested that your esteemed office direct the District Administration and the Revenue Department of Malakand to Secure and protect the historic dispensary land from illegal sale or encroachment by the Malaks. Transfer ownership of the property to the District Education Department Elementary Secondary Education of Malakand. Approve the construction of a Government Girls Primary School on this site to secure the future of our young girls. The local community eagerly awaits your swift intervention to uphold the rule of law and prioritize female education in the region. Yours faithfully Rahim Khan On Behalf of the Residents of Village Council Wartair
