Teachers Protest: Pursuit of the ‘package’ continues
The teachers have been demanding the implementation of the PM package which was announced last year.
ISLAMABAD:
College teachers working under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) are continuing their protest by wrapping of black strips on their arms and boycotting the last two classes of their respective institutions. The teachers have been demanding the implementation of the PM package which was announced last year. In this announcement, the teachers were promised up-gradation of scales and a better service structure. On Monday, the teachers from various colleges gathered at Federal Government Post-Graduate College for Women F-7/2. The protest was led by the office bearers of Federal Government Colleges Teachers Association (FGCTA) with the participation of hundreds of teachers, working in BPS-17 and above. The teachers following their schedule of protest vowed to continue boycott of classes until their demand of up-gradation is not met.
