Balochistan imposes section 144
The Balochistan government has imposed Section 144 across the entire province as a precautionary measure against potential terrorist threats.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the restrictions, which include a ban on the display of weapons, double riding on motorcycles, and gatherings of five or more persons, have come into immediate effect and will remain in force for 30 days.
The order also prohibits covering faces with masks, mufflers, or any other material in public places to ensure unobstructed identification. All divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners, police officials, and relevant authorities have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the directives. Legal action will be taken against violators.
Media Assistant to the Home Department Babar Yousafzai said that after the imposition of Section 144, pillion riding on motorcycles and gatherings of more than four persons have been banned.
Security forces are on high alert to counter any possible misadventure by Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan. "Any campaign or adventurous act by banned organisations will be met with a strong and decisive response," he added.
Security institutions are fully prepared and have completed all necessary arrangements to deal with any untoward situation, Yousafzai said.
