Livvy Dunne is opening up about her early acting journey, revealing that she auditioned for HBO’s hit series The White Lotus before booking her first major television role.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the former LSU gymnast said she was “obviously so nervous” during her first audition. Dunne explained that acting felt very different from gymnastics because she had to “talk and perform and play someone else.” She eventually told host Jimmy Fallon that the project she auditioned for was The White Lotus.
Although she did not land the part, the experience helped launch her acting ambitions. Dunne has since been cast in the upcoming FOX reboot of Baywatch, marking her first official acting role. She will play Grace, a junior lifeguard, in the series set to premiere in January 2027.
Dunne, 23, said she has long been interested in acting but only began pursuing it seriously after graduating from Louisiana State University and retiring from competitive gymnastics in 2025. She described acting as another creative outlet where hard work leads to a rewarding final product.
The influencer and former NCAA champion continues to expand her career beyond sports, balancing modeling, social media, and now acting. Her upcoming role in Baywatch represents a major step into Hollywood after years of building one of the largest followings among college athletes.
