Punjab road crashes claim 20 lives

At least 20 people died, whereas 1,488 were injured in 1,298 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Out of these, 644 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 835 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams. The majority (76%) involved motorbikes.
Furthermore, the analysis showed those 914 drivers, 62 underage drivers, 164 pedestrians, and 430 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes.
The statistics show that 228 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 272 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by Faisalabad 91 in with 110 victims and at third Gujranwala 89 with RTCs and 101 victims.
The details further reveal that 1,508 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 1,248 males & 260 females.
