Elderly man killed over old enmity

CHINIOT:

A man was killed in a firing incident, police said on Friday, adding that the incident appears to be linked to an old enmity.

According to police officials, the victim identified as Waris, a resident of Chak No. 186 JB, was shot dead by unidentified assailants.

He was stated to be around 55 to 60 years of age. Upon receiving information, senior police officers along with DSP Bhowana and investigation teams reached the scene and collected forensic evidence.

Initial police findings suggest the killing may be an outcome of a previous murder-related feud; however, investigators are also examining other possible angles.
